Green Oxide

A traditional alkyd based gloss finish for general use, where good covering, gloss and durability are required. Ideal for building and industrial use, both interior and exterior on many good surfaces. All colours are lead free and this product is compliant.

Uses:
For interior and exterior surfaces including new and previously painted wood, metal, brick and stone where an economical finish is required. Ideal for general painting and for industrial and agricultural use.

Recommended Systems:
Standard Wood Primer, General Purpose Undercoat, Hi – Dur ZP Primer Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dirt, grease and other contamination. Fill all holes with suitable filler and prime surfaces with the specific primer for the substrate. Sand off old paintwork, then wash down with cleaning solution and allow to dry. Apply undercoat as required.

Product Application:
Mixing –  Stir well before use.
Thinners – Thinner No.3
Brush –  First coat may be thinned 5% to assist application. Two full coats should be used for maximum protection and obliteration. Over coating some strong colours may require an extra coat to affect full opacity. A short pile head is recommended when rolling.

Gloss Paint:

  • Roller First coat may be thinned 5% to assist application. Two full coats should be used for maximum protection and obliteration. Over coating some strong colours may require an extra coat to affect full opacity. A short pile head is recommended when rolling.
  • Conventional spray Thin with up to 10% thinner use No.3 use 30-40 psi pressure and 1.4 -1.8 diameter nozzle.
  • Airless Spray Thin with maximum 5% thinner No.3 use tip 0.28-0.38 mm, 50-60°angle and 2300 psi pressure.
  • Air assisted Airless Spray Thin with up to 10% thinner No.3 use 100-1800 psi pressure and 1.4- 1.8 nozzle.
  • Cleaner Thinner No.3
  • Cleanup Considerations All equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with thinner No.3 it is advisable that equipment should be cleaned/flushed during the course of application, the frequency of which will depend on the volume of material used and timescale over which applied. Ensure all waste materials (include packaging) are disposed of in accordance with local regulations

Storage Conditions
Store away from extremes of temperature.

Limitations
Do not apply when RH exceeds 88% or the surface is less than 2°C above dew point. Drying will be affected in cold conditions.
